Lyon Minimes
This is the funicular station Minimes, between Vieux Lyon / Cathédrale St. Jean and St. Just, in Lyon, France. The trains go up and down using a cable, and at St. Jean and St. Just must "change" directions, where one car goes on one side, and the other car goes on the other, but in different directions. Therefore, the close platform and far platform must have different destinations, and changes each time the cars leave St. Jean and St. Just. Here, the trains are operating left-hand-side, so the close platform is going up to St. Just, and the far platform goes to St. Jean downhill.

Lyon Minimes
This funicular train from St. Jean / Vieux Lyon is going to St. Just, uphill from Minimes (where an old roman / gaulish ampitheater is located). The funicular changes directions because it is pulled by a cable, so the trains will go on the left side until both end at their termini St. Jean and St. Just, and then go on the right side, both sides relative to the Minimes platforms. Neon signs point out the destinations.

Lyon Minimes
This is a warning at the Minimes funicular station on the St. Jean/St.Just funicular line from old Lyon, France, that passengers must not cross the lines, because the cables are very dangerous especially when they are moving. Passengers must instead make use of the stairway to cross over the tracks. Changing directions is acceptable because the stairway is within the paid fare zone (I forgot to mention that Lyon is an open-fare system, as opposed to Paris which is closed).
