50Hz-AC prototype EMU (Z-9053) of SNCF.
Actually a former ET-25 EMU of Deutsche Reichbahn, seized in 1945, and rebuilt to 20kV-50Hz, for the experimental 50Hz-AC electrification of Aix les Bains-Annecy. Later upgraded to 25kV, renumbered Z-6002, and withdrawn in 1970. Another ex-DR ET-25 experienced the same fate, first as Z-9052, then Z-6001. Annecy. 11th September 1960.

50Hz-AC prototype EMU (Z-9055) of SNCF.
Actually a former Class 1300 "Standard" commuter EMU ex-Etat (Z-1320, 750V, live rail), rebuilt to 20kV-50Hz (OHLE), for the experimental 50Hz-AC electrification of Aix les Bains-Annecy. Later upgraded to 25kV, renumbered Z-6004, and withdrawn in 1972. This unit is seen somewhere between Aix and Annecy.
