This unit is part of batch 2 (1972-1973), and primarily runs on Paris-Chartres-Le Mans stopping services.
<p>
It was refurbished in 1979 (to Z-6400 standards) when RER Line C opened.

In 1994, it passed to SNCF-AR (TER Centre and Limousin), to run on stopping services, and got a light refurbishment in 1997.
