Between 26 September and 20 October 2006 Thalys PBKA 4302 was used for test runs on the HSL 4/HSL-Zuid. These test runs started at Antwerpen-Luchtbal station and ended or at the border, or at the viaduct over the "Hollandsch Diep", depending on the clearance of the Dutch tracks by the Dutch authorities.

Also Siemens participated with these tests, as it was responsible for installing the ETCS-2 safety system on the line.
