PBKA-Thalys 4306 (owned by SNCB) passes Aachen Rothe Erde as THA 9436
(Cologne-Paris) on 4 December 2002. Note the remains of a sticker on the front.
Obviously this trainset was decorated for a "Mon dernier train" event some time
ago, when someone of the train crew did his last duty. The reflections on the
first trailer are from a shunter on another track.

Thalys PBKA 4304. Train THA 9424 Köln - Aachen - Liège - Bruxelles - Paris-Nord. Thalys is a brand for international high-speed trains using the French LGV Nord line. The 17 PBKA units are equipped for France, Belgium, Germany and Netherlands, they went into service in 1997. Meanwhile they are all modernized with slightly updated exterior and interior design. The burgundy and silver livery is said to be inspired by the 1960s TEE trains on Paris - Brussels - Amsterdam (pulled by the famous CC 40100 locomotives, now all retired). Aachen Hbf, 2013-08-01. |
