Thalys is a brand for international high-speed trains using the French LGV Nord line.
The 17 PBKA units are equipped for France, Belgium, Germany and Netherlands, they went into service in 1997.
Meanwhile they are all modernized with slightly updated exterior and interior design.
The burgundy and silver livery is said to be inspired by the 1960s TEE trains on Paris - Brussels - Amsterdam (pulled by the famous CC 40100 locomotives, now all retired).
