Thalys PBA

Thalys PBA 4532 (these are all owned by SNCF) at Amsterdam CS ready to leave for Paris-Nord on the 15th of June 1998. These Thalys trainsets are modified from the TGV-Réseau. One of the main differences with TGV-R is that they include the Dutch ATB signaling system. Originally all 27 Thalys trainsets where supposed to be build as 3rd generation trainsets (PBKA) but because of design and production delays the first 10 trainsets where build as 2nd generation trainsets to let Thalys begin to opperate on schedule.
