2 different trains , 2 different pantographs ! On the left we see SNCF Z26509/26510 (set 405) "TER2N NG" with its AC panto lifted and the DC panto down next to it.On the right we see TGV PSE 52 also with its AC panto lifted and the DC panto down. The pantographs of the Z26500 EMU are both of the type Faiveley AX , while the pantographs of the TGV PSE are of the AM type. Since 2004 the DC pantographs of some TGV PSE units have been replaced with Faiveley AX type pantographs , the same of the Z26500 and Z21500 units , as to be capable to drive 220 km/h on the lines in the southwest. These sets can be distinguished from the others by looking at the motorcars. If the motorcar has a little red square under the SNCF logo it's equipped with the new type of pantograph.
