On the right, Intercity 12202 (Irun-Madrid-Chamartin), awaiting departure on Platform 14, the only iberic-gauge track to serve the French sector. As TGV 8515 had been running behind schedule, IC 12202 was due to leave from the French sector, rather than from the Spanish sector (further left, accross the building, off-pic), as is normally the case. TGV Atlantique destination sign on TGV 8543 Paris Montparnasse - Irun (Spain) seen on the single standard-gauge track at Irun. November 7, 2003. This TGV runs as a double set in combination with TGV 8143 Paris - Hendaye (thus the car number). The latter (cars 1-10) is uncoupled at Hendaye, and the remaining set continues across the river into Irun.
