SNCF - 14/11/1999 at Laroche-Migennes workshop, during an exposition.

This is a view of the command used to lift the 25000 Volt AC pantograph(s).
To lift them, the driver puts a special key in the hole and selects the
desired position.
There are 4 positions (from right to left):
- 0 : The neutral position, the 2 pantos of the locomotive are down.
- N : This lifts and keeps in that position the special AC-pantograph.
- NS : Like the "N" position, but it lifts also the DC panto. Very rarely
used.
- S : This position isn't frequently used. It allows to use the DC pantograph
with an AC catenary in case the normal AC pantograph isn't working properly.
In this position, the speed is limited to 100km/h (I'm not sure of the value).
Please note that the command key can be taken off from the hole only in the
"0" position.
