Ambulance/Dorm car (So) of SNCF, seen on Ski Train 5895 Paris Austerlitz-Briançon.

Those cars were built as ambulances, primarily to run on pilgrim services. They are also used as dorms for youth parties at peaks.

While these cars are technically very close to conventional Corail Couchettes cars, they are devoid of air-conditioning.

One can spot the central vestibule, together with its larger access door.

This cars had just got the livery applied to convertible (viz. 1st and 2nd-class) Corail Couchettes cars AcBcux.
