SNCF Inox-PBA generator car in EuroCity «Étoile du Nord» Amsterdam - Paris (1991). Due to the type of air conditioning system in these cars, a generator car was needed, which also has a luggage compartment and some passenger seats. Even though the original 1st class seats were retained, the class designation was later removed and the seats could be used by 2nd class passengers. As these cars were usually at the end of the train, they had a rounded roof end. Today these trains are replaced by THALYS.
