Luggage-van/2nd-class Corail compartment-car (B6Dd2) of SNCF-GL, seen idle in Metz. This car belongs to the very first order for Corail compartment-cars (VU-75), and therefore features 6 seats per compartment, unlike subsequently-ordered 2nd-class Corail compartment cars. Sadly, and unlike all other Corail cars (except So Ambulance/Dorm cars), B6Dd2 cars are devoid of air-conditioning. None of them has ever undergone any refurbishment whatsoever. Those cars will reportedly be the very first ones among the Corail fleet to take their turn for the scrapyard. These cars have been fewer and fewer used since the late-90s.
