This AVE-100 set has just arrived from Madrid, on a promotional service. These were to introduce VIPs to the new Madrid-Lerida HSL before the intended beginning of revenue operations, but RENFE was forced to postpone most of them indefinitely, owing to serial technical failures.
This part of the "all-in-waves" canopy was already well in place, but the whole station remodelling was still far from completion.
