very little used since the mid-90s, but by Winter 2005/2006, this station is to become much busier, as a relief for Sants, where AVE-related works are to cut down capacity dramatically until 2007/2008. Barcelona-Estaçió de França. 27th July 2005.

Tracks 9-10 in Barcelona-Estaçió de França.
Shortly after the Olympics 1992, 4 tracks (No. 9-12) had been obturated with an artificial floor, so that part of this little-used station would accommodate concerts, exhibitions and other similar events... As more capacity is needed to relieve Sants station throughout its AVE-related remodelling, works to re-instate tracks 9-12 had begun in late-April... Barcelona-Estaçió de França. Early-May 2005.

Barcelona Estacio de França. December 09
The beautiful main hall of Barcelona Estacio de França. Completely restored for the 1992 Olympics, nowadays just a few trains stop here. Its future is not too clear once the new Sagrera High Speed Station is built in a few years.
