Unidad electrica 440 Delta, estas unidades denominadas Delta, han sido reconstruidas y se ha eliminado el coche intermedio, quedando unidades de dos coches para servicios de cercanias. Semi-Refurbished Class 440 of RENFE-Cercanias (440.077), seen at Valladolid, on "Regional" 8100 from Santander.
This fleet has got (2nd-hand) mainline seats (actually cascaded from 440 Batch 5). It is used around Santander/Torrelavega ("Cercanias") and on Santander-Valladolid ("Regional"). Valladolid-Campo Grande. 25th June 2005.

This unit has got interiors identical to those of fully-refurbished Class 440 of Cercanias (440R) and lost its intermediate trailer, but has otherwise remained the same. They primarily run on Commuter services around Santander/Torrelavega, but they may also extend until Valladolid, on "Regional" services... Santander 2003.

Saloons are identical to those of fully-refurbished Class 440 of Cercanias (440R), with Cercanias (not-so-comfortable) seats, new luggage racks and open vestibules. Yet, this semi-refurbished fleet features no air-con, hence the original windows... Valladolid-Campo Grande. 8th May 2004.

Semi-Refurbished Class 440 of RENFE-Cercanias (440.133, ex-Regionales).
In 1999, this unit got a light refurbishment (with 2nd-hand mainline seats), in an attempt to improve "Delta" services running on L'Hospitalet de Llobregat-Barcelona-Latour de Carol. While it has lost its intermediate trailer, it has otherwise retained most of its original condition. On that day, it was running with a fully-reburbished Class 440 of Cercanias (440R, at the rear), looking doubtless more up-to-date yet featuring much more spartan accommodation... Semi-Refurbished Class 440 of RENFE-Cercanias (440.132, ex-Regionales), seen terminating at Latour de Carol, upon arrival from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
In 1999, this unit got (2nd-hand) mainline seats, and lost both its intermediate trailer and luggage-van, to run on Barcelona-Cerdanya ("Delta") services.
Interestingly, this unit was re-liveried to "Regionales" standards just a few months before passing to RENFE-Cercanias, which took over Vic-Latour de Carol in early-2004... Latour de Carol-Enveigt. 26th February 2005.

Saloon of a Semi-Refurbished Class 440 of RENFE-Cercanias (440.133, ex-Regionales), used on L'Hospitalet de Llobregat-Barcelona-Latour de Carol.
The refurbishment took place in 1999, and was focused on the replacement of original bench-seats with (2nd-hand) Mainline seats (with reversible backrests). Old-fashioned curtains (probably cascaded from Class 432 or 444) were also added. Interiors have otherwise retained their original condition (panels, flooring, vestibules, luggage-racks). Original windows have also remained, as this fleet is devoid of air-con. L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. 31st May 2004.

This is the former luggage-van, which was converted into a (summary) passenger saloon upon refurbishment.
