Interior of Refurbished Class 440 (440R) of RENFE-Cercanias. This is the most common layout, with 2+2 seating. Overall ambience is very close to that of Class 446 and 447, although backrests are somehow lower. Pleasant, yet dreadful for longer journeys such as Barcelona-French border. Such units may also occasionally replace or supplement Class 470 and semi-refurbished Class 440 of RENFE-Regionales on Madrid-Leon-Vitoria, sadly...
