Madrid-Lerida HSL, in Lerida, alongside the conventional line.
While the latter is double-tracked, the former is single-tracked. This is because once the HSL reaches its next stage, a by-pass will see light south of this city and will accommodate nonstop services. Only those high-speed services calling at Lérida/Lleida will still use this single-track.
This pic is taken from the bridge on the Segre, and one can spot the very particular canopy of the station of Lérida-Pirineos/Lleida-Pírineus in the background.
