Altaria express train Madrid Barcelona entering the beautifully rebuilt Lerida station headed by class 252 engine. After leaving Lerida the train automtatically changes gauges from 1435 mm to the Spanish
gauge system of 1676 mm. The complete process took about 20 minutes. This is necessary because AVE high speed line to Barcelona has not been completed yet East of Lerida.
