This pic was taken at some time between January 1959 and August 1964, when a Talgo II set served Barcelona, to/from Madrid (3-weekly), running in the afternoon and the evening.

This service must be the Barcelona Término (now Estaçió de França)-Madrid Atocha service, seen shortly after its departure, at around 01.30pm.

At that time, this station was not fully covered, and enjoyed a welcome daylight.
