Class 350 (350.002, ex-2T, "Virgen de Aranzazu"), seen at Bilbao-Abando, awaiting departure on Talgo 354 to Madrid-Chamartin...
When Talgo II stock quit service in 1972, the 4 locos (1-4T) used hitherto with that fleet were re-formed into 2 pairs, and fitted with Scharffenberg couplers, so that they could haul the daily Talgo III service Madrid<->Bilbao on Miranda de Ebro-Bilbao.
Their livery was also adapted to Talgo III standards. Those 2x2 locos had eventually gone in 1976, replaced with newly-delivered Class 269 (and TG1z-111 generators).
