The formation mixed Class 9000 and 10000 cars in original livery, along with a Diesel-Generator DD-9450, right next to the loco.

The "Valencia-Expreso" primarily ran as a relief (and cheaper) service for the Talgo "Mare Nostrum" and for Talgo 377-374 (Portbou/Cerbère<->Madrid via Zaragoza).
