Special Christmas Train
Detail of the access stairs and coupling between two wooden "Costa" coaches. You can pass from one coach to another above a stepper steel sheet over the couplers between the two coaches. Special Christmas Train
Historic wooden passenger coach of the special Christmas Train, also used in the "Tren de la Fresa" (Strawberry Train). This coaches were used by MZA on trains near the Mediterranean coast, so they're popularly referred to as "Coches Costa". 31/12/2003 Delicias Railway Museum, Madrid.

An old Renfe class CC2439 (anciently, MZA -Madrid, Zaragoza and Alicante
Railroad- class CWffv 259) passenger car, also known as "Costa Coaches", at
Madrid- Puerta de Atocha station. This car has been restored by the National
Railway Museum for short touristic trips between Madrid and Aranjuez during
summer. The photo was taken on July the 10th 1996.

The "Tren de la Fresa" at Madrid- Puerta de Atocha station. This touristic
train is driven by a restored steam locomotive class 2417 on weekends, and
the remainder week it is kept in this station. It consists of an useless mail
car and four wooden third class passenger cars. The photo was taken on July
the 10th 1996.

Little series of restaurants R12-12950 were rebuilts from old CIWL cars. Fitted with GC trucks for 160 km/h, they served mainly in special trains, before its retiring. Madrid-Fuencarral.
