Talgo II set, seen on its very first day of revenue operation, awaiting departure for Hendaye at Madrid-Principe Pío.

This rolling-stock ran until 14th November 1964 on this line, on a 3-weekly basis. Upon introduction, it cut the whole journey down to 8 hrs on Madrid-Hendaye and 18hrs on Madrid-Paris (using the flagship sleeper "Pyrenées-Côte d'Argent" in France).
