Trenhotel Elipsos 477/6 "Joan Miró" (Paris Austerlitz-->Barcelona Sants, via Limoges), seen emerging out of the gauge-changer to the station of Portbou.

At this stage, this formation was being banked by a French locomotive. Unlike daytime services, banking extends until the trainshed of Portbou (South end), as sleepers are distinctly longer than daytime Talgo formations (300-420m instead of 120-180m).

On that day, this service was delayed by 40min.

At 6:25am, there was hardly any daylight, humidity rate was in excess of 75% and temperature already in the region of 32°C. This was due to dense coastal fog, acting as a greenhouse...
