This car was rebuilt in the early-90s from former daytime TA4-401 cars, to offer Sleeperette accommodation on Trenhotel services, at Preferente-class fares, though.
The "Antonio Gaudi" remains the only domestic Trenhotel to offer such accommodation. Other domestic services (+ "Lusitania" on Madrid-Lisbon) offer Preferente- and/or Turista-class conventional seated-accommodation. Conversely, "Superasiento Reclinable" is available on all Elipsos services to Paris, Zurich and Milan, with TA6L-621 cars.
