Talgo 6 and 7 sets of RENFE-GL, seen on Talgo 165 Barcelona-Lorca.
While the core formation consists of a (9-car) Talgo 6 set, a second set is often added on Barcelona-Alicante. Owing to the Chinchilla accident, Talgo 7 sets can thereby be seen on this service. One can see that the "Altaria" branding has ousted that of "Talgo". Seemingly, the counter has been extended at the expense of the sofas, while stools have been removed. This car is in the "Largo Recorrido" livery, which dates back to the mid-90s. The original Talgo logo has given way to a new Talgo labelling of Grande Lineas-RENFE. Talgo Pendular formation stabled in Barcelona-San Andreu Comtal, awaiting to be shunted to Barcelona-Sants:
Altaria 1619/8 (Barcelona Sants-->Cadiz, via Zaragoza and Madrid), fitted with Talgo 6 only. This is actually the largest daytime Talgo 6 set, with 13 cars (TG + 3TA + TC + 7TB + TBz). It is due for refurbishment in late-2005. Barcelona-San Andreu Comtal. 25th July 2005.
