ELRON - Estonia Since January 2014 ELRON (former Elektriraudtee) operates all national passenger services in Estonia. Brand new electric and diesel trainsets were bought from Stadler in Switzerland. Diesel trainset 2234 (type FLIRT, but with power pack like a GTW2/6) at end station Piusa. The only interesting thing to do here are to visit the sand caves and pits. In the future the line Koidula-Valga will probably be reopened for passenger trains. Piusa, 24-06-2014 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
