Steam locomotive L 2 built 1869 by Alexander Chaplin & Co.
for the jydsk-fyenske jernbaner (JFJ) in a series of 4,
used on the Aarhus harbour line until 1884. A wooden bridge
meant that the shunting locomotives there had to be very
lightweight, which resulted in a vertical boiler design
without an enclosed cab, capable of moving two or three
freight wagons, a job previously done by horses who had
difficulties pulling the wagons up the steep line.
