København Ørestad DSB Platform
Looking at the westbound platform of the DSB / Øresund line from Malmö (Malmø in Danish). At this station is also a transfer to the Metro from Vestamager in the south to Vanløse in the west, via Nørreport and Flintholm. I am standing on the eastbound platform waiting for an Øresund train to Malmö via Tårnby and Københavns Lufthavn (Airport) Kastrup. I had a Railpass covering only Germany, Denmark and Switzerland, so I had to buy a connecting ticket from Kastrup Airport to Malmö. It can be found in the German ticket section (look for "DSB_SJ_Kastrup_Malmoe.jpg" in Electronic tickets) Taken Sunday 11 November 2002 © 2002, 2006 Josh Hanz (josh_hanz@hotmail.com) |

Looking at the eastbound platform of the DSB / Øresund line to Malmö (Malmø in Danish). At this station is also a transfer to the Metro from Vestamager in the south to Vanløse in the west, via Nørreport and Flintholm. Here you can see a construction sign for an eventual business park. The Metro is on a viaduct from Vestamager to Universitetet and again from Lindevang to Vanløse. The rest is in tunnel through central Copenhagen Taken Sunday 11 November 2002 © 2002, 2006 Josh Hanz (josh_hanz@hotmail.com) |

Roskilde station building Architecturally ambitious railway station of Roskilde, streetside view. It is a four-platform railway station. Its seven tracks serve as a central hub connecting western and southern Zealand, the islands of Falster and Lolland, and Jutland to Copenhagen. It is the oldest railway station in Denmark still operating and the first built of stone. The first train arrived from Copenhagen on 26 June 1847. Photo taken Thursday 4 April 2002. Arriva - Denmark The beautiful station of Varde in western Jylland is no longer served by DSB. Arriva now operates the services towards Skjern and Esbjerg, while they have also taken over the Vestbanen that operates trains to Nørre Nebel. A trainset class MR of Arriva can be seen next to one of the platforms. Varde, 02-08-2003 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
