Esbjerg is now controlling the line towards Skjern. Today all new installations are computerscreens and keyboards. However in Esbjerg a normal panel with pushbuttons were preferred. Pressing a button sends a signal to a computer, who then does all the processing. Photo 08 sept 1996 by <hjelme@worldonline.dk> |
The signalman is giving the departure signal to the driver on a station without exit signals. If the triangular signal above the signalman is lit, the station is switched out and no signal is needed. The situation is becoming increasingly rare, only Thisted, Snedsted, Bedsted, Hurup, Hvidbjerg and Borris remain. Borris is also the last station in Denmark with semaphore signals. On 18 november 1996 Fredensborg was converted to modern signals remotely controlled from Hillerød. Photo 20 sept 1996 by <hjelme@worldonline.dk> |
