Marcipanbrød Jubilee 50 years ago Danish factory Frichs delivered 9 diesel-electric engines to 8 private lines in Denmark. All 9 engines are still able to run, and this will be celebrated on 18.05.2002 where the North Zealand Railway Club will be displaying 6 of the 9 engines. The North Zealand Railway Club owns two of these engines: former GDS locomotive L1 and former HFHJ M8 (picture).

HFHJ M 8 Hillerød. 17 september 1960. (A1A)'(A1A)'
Nicknamed Marcipanbrød from its body shape, this 750 hp locomotive
was build by Frichs in 1952.

MX 17 (former DSB MX 1045 and 1017) are hauling a steel-train from Frederikværkstad

GDS - HFHJ MF1142/1042. Hollose, 30/8/98. Despite that HFHJ and GDS are having a relationship, the class MF are dedicated to one of them. On HFHJ the MF are having the paint Frederiksvaerkbanen on the sides of the train, on GDS the paint says Gribskovbanen.

GDS - HFHJ MX19+MX16+MX18. After the era of the MaK, HFHJ have taken class MX (ex-DSB) into service. One of the most impressive freight-trains in Denmark are the train loaded with steelplates from Staalvalsevaerket in Frederiksvaerk. The train are here seen at Gorlose, 31/8/98.
