At the 26'th of may 2006, with an Event called "DSB-døgnet", the Danish state Railways offered extremely cheap all-day tickets for all of Denmark for only 50 kroner (Approx. 6,50 Euro!). The ticket was valid for an unlimited use of all DSB-trains for 24 Hours! This offer was used by very many people, with stuffed trains and delays as a natural consequence ;-) I mainly used the day for going to the Danish Railway Museum in Odense. This is one of the oldest preserved Danish steam locos, the A 159

Steam locomotive L 2 built 1869 by Alexander Chaplin & Co.
for the jydsk-fyenske jernbaner (JFJ) in a series of 4,
used on the Aarhus harbour line until 1884. A wooden bridge
meant that the shunting locomotives there had to be very
lightweight, which resulted in a vertical boiler design
without an enclosed cab, capable of moving two or three
freight wagons, a job previously done by horses who had
difficulties pulling the wagons up the steep line.
B, 9 hp, length 4.4 m, weight 8.1 t.
