The long (8-car) version of the 4th generation S-train, class SA, at line C (Ballerup-Klampenborg). Class SA has now been in service for almost a decade, and until now 93 train sets have been delivered since 1996. Until next year 12 more class SA will be delivered, causing withdrawal of the last 2nd generation trains (class MM). Photographed at Hellerup St., 2005-06-17.

Fourth generation S-tog, Valby Eight car S train of the fourth generation stopping at Valby. Valby station is centrally located next to Toftegårds Plads. It is located where the Tåstrup and Frederikssund radials diverge, and is served by trains on either radial. S-trains of the new 4th generation had not entered service when the picture was taken. Two units are currently used for tests and driver training. The carbody is very wide indeed, and some work has to be done to the infrastructure to accommodate the extra width.
