DSB MO 1846, built 1954 by Frichs. Class MO (V) was built from
1951 to 1958 in 90 units, based on the earlier series MO I to IV
of 1935 to 1940 (totally 49 units). The engines were sitting on a
three axle bogie, the traction motors were in the other two-axle
bogie. With two 184 kW engines it could reach a speed of 120 km/h,
enough for express trains of the era (even some international
trains, such as the "Nordpilen" Frederikshavn - Hamburg and the
train Esbjerg - Hamburg). The motor car had a capacity of 37
seats and a baggage room. They were also used with push-pull
trains. The last regular use was 1984.

DSB - MO 1817 and unidentified MO serie 1900. From 1974 until about 1980 the class MO was given an important role as the tractive power for the international expresses Oresundspilen Copenhagen - Stockholm and Skandiapilen Copenhagen - Oslo. That was due to lack of big GM-locomotives. Here's Oresundspilen "thundering" through Hellerup with 100km/h in 1975.
