At the 26'th of may 2006, with an Event called "DSB-døgnet", the Danish state Railways offered extremely cheap all-day tickets for all of Denmark for only 50 kroner (Approx. 6,50 Euro!). The ticket was valid for an unlimited use of all DSB-trains for 24 Hours! This offer was used by very many people, with stuffed trains and delays as a natural consequence ;-) I mainly used the day for going to the Danish Railway Museum in Odense. The Nohab/GM loco MY 1112 is preserved in the red/black livery, opened up in one side, to display the engine.

DSB MY class #1106 waits on one of the garden tracks of the Esbjerg
roundhouse in February, 1987. The MX and MY are my favorite european
locomotives, since they're essentially EMD F-7's with two cabs and
A-1-A trucks.

DSB litra MY. These locomotives are derived from the american F7
design and built by NOHAB in Sweden. They first entered service
in 1954. Shown here in latest black/red livery, which was introduced
around 1976. Before that they were painted 'DSB-brown'. Almost all
of these locomotives have now been withdrawn. One has been preserved
and painted in its original livery.
Norway, Belgium, Luxemburg and Hungary all have/had similar locomotives.
