Hilfszug Dresden (emergency train) in Dresden Hbf. This train, which is in
service since DR times but has only recently been repainted in traffic red,
was built to help in case of derailments and other incidents. It consists of
two rebuilt 2-axle freight cars and a 4-axle passenger car, connected with
gangways, with a cab on each end. The car in front has a diesel generator
behind the ventilation grille.

contains various emergency equipment.
