Two 3-axle cars serving as workshop and temporary living space for trackwork crews - obviously retired. In the 1950s the DB built these cars for branch lines on the underframes of (mostly) ex-KPEV compartment cars from the beginning of the 20th century. Their passenger service ended in the 1970s due to low comfort and no automatic doors, but a lot of them had a second life as work car.
