Lockwitztalbahn tram 854 and Güterbahn Deuben locomotive 3091, Trachenberge depot Former Lockwitztalbahn tram 854 (class Gotha T2, built in 1943) and Güterbahn Deuben locomotive 3091 (built in 1905 by Henschel) exhibited at the Trachenberge depot. Contrary to the other exhibits both vehicles are 1000 mm gauged. Photo taken during open house presentation on Saturday 20 April 2013. Photo: Steffen Mokosch (Steffen.Mokosch@web.de) |
Lockwitztalbahn tram 854, Trachenberge depot Former Lockwitztalbahn narrow gauge (1000 mm) tram T2 #854 (240 005) exhibited at the Trachenberge depot. Built in 1943 by Gotha and first deployed at the Erfurt tram, it came to the Lockwitztalbahn Niedersedlitz–Kreischa in 1968, where it got its number shown here, 854. After the closure of the Lockwitztalbahn in 1977 the tram was deployed at the Kirnitzschtalbahn until 1993. After several years as monument engine at Kreischa it was moved to Dresden's tram museum at the Trachenberge depot in 2007. Photo taken during open house presentation on Saturday 20 April 2013. Preserved trams in Kreischa, southeast of Dresden. From 1906 to 1977,
a tram line with 1000 mm gauge (Lockwitztalbahn) went from
Dresden-Niedersedlitz to here. The two tram cars appear to be of the
same type; the left one belongs to the Lockwitztalbahn, the right one
to the
Kirnitzschtalbahn, which took over several tramcars second hand
from the Lockwitztalbahn (No. 9 is still preserved there).

Preserved trams in Kreischa. It seems that the line from Niedersedlitz
to here had the number 31. The car on the right, in beige/green, has
the computer number 240 005-8, which seems a bit anachronistic, given
that all traces of this line have disappeared since long. 2001-08-19.

Lockwitztalbahn No. 9 in Lichtenhainer Wasserfall. The Lockwitztalbahn
was a tram line from Dresden-Niedersedlitz to the south; when it was
abandoned, the Kirnitzschtalbahn took over its rolling stock, and
preserved No. 9 in its original colours. 2001-04-30.
