A train running towards the tunneling machine "Tosca" passes the excavation for the station Bonner Wall, pushed by two locos, on 3 December 2006. It is loaded with concrete segments for the lining, a tub of mortar (to fill the gap between the lining and the earth which is left behind the tailskin) and some pipes. Another short train is parked in the dead end siding in the background. The round basis in the foreground is used to turn the formwork carriage for the so-called C shell (a C-shaped shell of concrete which is fit into the tunnel at the spots where the lining will be opened laterally to build the stations). The startup of the new underground line is planned for 2010.
