Tramcar 3764 of the Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (KVB) arrives at Eupener Straße as special train from Junkersdorf to Neumarkt on 22 July 2006. On this day the farewell of the eight-axled tramcars was celebrated with special trains from Neumarkt to Junkersdorf and to Poll, and a parade of four cars from Neumarkt to the West depot in the evening. 3764 belongs to the fleet of the Thielenbruch museum for several years, and it is the last remaining so called "Knüppelwagen" ("cudgel cars", because of the long traction/brake lever which actuates the switches mechanically) in Cologne. The other three cars involved, belonging to 3200 series (with electrically actuated switches), were used for regular rush-hour services until now, but will soon be scrapped.
