Even the sky was crying when the last four eight-axled tramcars of the Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (KVB) were lined up at Neumarkt for the final parade to the West depot, in the evening of 22 July 2006. The picture was taken from the rear of 3764, from left to right we see the tail of 3209 and the heads of 3205 and 3230. The destination indicators show "Braunsfeld - Melatengürtel", which is in fact not the name of a stop. Braunsfeld is the district where the depot is located, and Melatengürtel is the street leading from the stop Aachener Str./Gürtel (last stop before the depot) northwards. After the parade, 3764 went to the Thielenbruch museum to which it belongs for several years. 3209 went to Thielenbruch, too, but later it was brought to the main workshop at Weidenpesch to be scrapped. 3205 went to the workshop directly, while 3230 went to the Merheim depot on this evening (but it will also be scrapped at the workshop soon).
