Tramcar 1877 of the Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (KVB) and historic train "Finchen" of the former Köln-Frechen-Benzelrather Eisenbahn (KFBE) seen side by side at the depot at Wesseling on 6 May 2006. 1877, named "Colonia-Express", was rebuilt from two eight-axled cars to create a car that can handle bidirectional operation (normal eight-axled cars are one-way cars) as well as tight turning loops (in the past turning loops which were to tight for six-axled cars existed in some places). With it's ability to travel the whole network and it's special interior (including tables, a bar and a toilet) it is hired for special trips. "Finchen" was built in 1911 and consists of the power cars 1285 and 1286 and the middle car 1257. The interurban line to Frechen was called "F" in the past (later it was served by line 2, today by line 7), thus the nickname "Finchen".
