Kirnitzschtalbahn tram No. 4 with trailer No. 25 at Bad Schandau Stadtpark before departure to Lichtenhainer Wasserfall. A second trailer is waiting at the end of the track. At each end station, the power car must be uncoupled from the trailer, drive around it and be coupled in front again. Long ago, many bidirectional trams used to operate this way. One of many specialities of the Kirnitzschtalbahn is that it has doors only on one side, even though it goes in both direction, because access to the trams is on the same side at all stations. Another one is that it's partly powered by solar panels on the roof of the depot.
