DR steam locomotive class 52 #8079, Nossen
52 8079, owned by the heritage steam company 'Dampf-Plus', ready for departure on a cold winter weekend 2010. The train journey planned on this day was over the Zellwaldbahn to Freiberg and from there to Bad Schandau in the Saxonian Switzerland and back. The journey started one hour later than primarily planned (11 instead 10 o'clock). Photo taken Saturday 9 January 2010.

Built in 1943 as 52 5659 by Schichau (Elblag, now Poland) and rebuilt in 1963 by the RAW Stendal with new boiler ('Reko'). Bought in 1994 by Schwaben Dampf Neuoffingen, later by Dampf-Plus Glauchau and housed since 8 December 2003 in Nossen by the heritage steam association 'IG Dampflok Nossen e.V.'.
