KPEV steam locomotive class P 8 #2455, Dresden Altstadt depot Historic Prussian steam locomotive Posen 2455 exhibited at the Dresden Altstadt depot during the traditional steam festival on Sunday 18 May 2003. Built by Linke-Hofmann Breslau in 1919. Sold to Romania in August 1926 and used there until around 1974 with number CFR 230 094. Sold in Spring 1998 to Manuel Jußen/Länderbahnreisen and reconstructed in Romania in 2001. Until 2012 it was seen at the Dieringhausen railway museum. Housed at Gera since then. | Steam locomotive 2455 Posen of type P8, built 1906 to 1939 in 3948 units. It was delivered 1919 by Linke-Hofmann to the Prussian Railways. In 1926 it was sold to Romania where it operated under the number 230.094 until 1974. In 2001 it went to Germany after being restored by Remarul 16 Februarie, Cluj-Napoca. | 2455 Posen war am Anfang des 20.Jahrhunderts in das heutige Poznan (damals Posen) gebaut geworden und ist aktive Lok bei das Eisenbahnmuseum Darmstadt-Kranichstein. DKr ist neben das Museum interessant, weil es viel Guterverkehr gibt UND MWB gleich neben das Museum eine Niederlassung hat. Am 28 Mai 2007 war 2455 beim jährliche Offen Tur Tagen. Loco type P8 was built by Linke-Hofmann in Breslau (Wroclaw) in 1919 with no. 1804. It was in service in Romania as 230 094. In 2001 the loco was restored in Romania and sold to Germany where it is in service for Railway-enthusiasts as 2455 Posen in traditional Prussian coloures. Here the loco stands in Dortmund main-station on 10th of February 2008 for the initiative "Zug der Erinnerung". P 8 2455 "Posen" is parked at Aachen Hbf on 3 March 2008. This loco
was built in 1919 and was in service as 230 094 in Romania until 1974.
Later it was rebuilt to the state of the early twenties when it was still in
service in Germany. It is currently en route with the "Zug der Erinnerung"
("Train of Commemoration") containing a rolling exhibition about children
deported in the Third Reich.

was built in 1919 and was in service as 230 094 in Romania until 1974.
Later it was rebuilt to the state of the early twenties when it was still in
service in Germany. It is currently en route with the "Zug der Erinnerung"
("Train of Commemoration") containing a rolling exhibition about children
deported in the Third Reich. The cars can be seen in the background, together
with a queue of visitors on the platform.
