View of a wooden fence closing off a siding at Brühl station, June 2000, viewing North.
This side track is unusable after a train entering this siding derailed at high speed in February 2000. Nine people were killed in this accident, when one of the cars hit the platform roof supports.
The roof has been removed afterwards, and in September 2000, the fence here was removed for rebuilding track and roof.
The train on the left is a northbound RB5 from Koblenz Hbf to Emmerich.
