Weimar Berkaer Bahnhof station building Station building of Berka station, a small terminal south of the city center of Weimar. It was founded in 1887 and is operated every hour per direction by trains from Weimar to Kranichfeld. Railcars coming from the central station located north of the city center change their direction within few minutes here. Photo taken Friday 15 May 2015. The station building at Weimar on Friday September 20th, 2001. The station is on the mainline from Frankfurt via Erfurt to Halle & Leipzig. There is a branchline from the west end of the station to Kranchfeld and a junction at the east end to Gera.

Weimar railway station building Street side of the Weimar railway station. It is an Intercity-Express stop on the line between Frankfurt am Main and Dresden. Weimar station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 2 station. It is officially designated as a KulturBahnhof ("culture station”), as the station’s panels are noted.
