Nossen railway station, terminal building
Old terminal building and platform shed of the station of Nossen, view towards east. It was the beginning of winter storm 'Daisy' which caused heavy snowfall on the evening and the fallowing weekend. Nossen is located on the second saxonian mainline linking Leipzig and Dresden. Long time ago it was an important hub with routes to Riesa, Freiberg-Moldova (Czech Republic) and Freital. Today the station is regulary only operated by regional trains consisting of class 642 DMUs, although there is a heritage association operating many steam locomotives for railfanning.
