The new station of Merzenich on the upgraded line Cologne-Düren
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen from east on 26 October 2002. When the tracks for the S-Bahn (urban
trains) were laid, the space for the platform was left between them. Now the
southern track is removed in a short area to build a tunnel as access to the
platform. On the right are the highspeed tracks.
